SAVE THE DATE: Cultural Diversity Conference

SLP-2Friday, October 18, 2013 | Room 106, Philadelphia Heart Institute

Penn Presbyterian’s Cultural Diversity Committee invites you to attend the fourth annual Cultural Diversity Conference. This year’s event will focus on topics related to health literacy. The morning session will feature a keynote address by Victoria Rich, PhD, RN, FAAN, chief nurse executive, and recipient of the American Organization of Nurse Executives’ 2013 Prism Diversity Award for her efforts in promoting diversity, inclusion, and cultural competency across the health system.

The afternoon session will include a two-hour hands-on workshop on improving communication between healthcare providers and patients with low health literacy, led by Aracely Rosales, chief content expert and multilingual director at Health Literacy Innovations.

Stay tuned to future issues of the Presby Bulletin for more information on the conference program and registration information.
