MLK Day of Remembrance
All
are welcome to the 2013 Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Day of Remembrance on
Monday, January 21, in the Zubrow Auditorium at 12:30 pm. The guest speaker
will be Rev. Dr. LaVerne Adams and there will be readings by George A. McCall
Elementary School Students.
This year’s theme – “What will you be a drum major for?” – is based upon a quote from Dr. King which sates: “If you want to say that I was a drum major, say that I was a drum major for justice. Say that I was a drum major for peace. I was a drum major for righteousness. And all of the other shallow things will not matter.”
