Honoring MLK Day and You!

BoardHave you recently walked, run, or biked for cause? Or maybe you serve others in some other meaningful way through volunteer work either here at Presby or in your community.

In celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s legacy of community service, the Cultural Diversity Committee would like to honor you for your commitment to serving others in a photo banner for MLK Day. To be part of this banner, snap a photo of yourself or ask a coworker or colleague to snap a photo of you and e-mail it to Include with your photo: your name, a brief description of your volunteer activity, and your department or unit. The deadline for photo submissions is Friday, December 28, 2012.

The Committee is also seeking poster tributes to Dr. King’s legacy of service. This activity creates an opportunity for collaboration among department or unit staff.  Posters should be submitted to Joy Cantuba on the MICU, 2nd Floor, Cupp Pavilion. The deadline for poster submissions is Wednesday, January 9, 2013.

The photo banner and posters will be on display from January 15-21. For more information, contact Joy Cantuba at or ext. 9600, or Bette Haitsch at or ext. 9487.
