Team UPHS/PENN had another exciting and great ride this year during the MS Society’s City to Shore Bike Tour. Our team recruited 318 riders and continues to be the largest team on the tour. This year’s team membership grew by 11 percent and together, we raised $156,000 – an amazing 27 percent increase over 2011. This is a fun and great example of how Penn Medicine and the University of Pennsylvania give back to the community. The funding provides direct care support for Multiple Sclerosis patients living in the Delaware Valley as well as research dollars toward developing improved treatments and a search for a cure. I want to thank everyone who participated and helped in both small and large ways.
