Over 120 children of PPMC employees visited Presby on Thursday, April 26, to participate in the annual “Take Your Kids to Work Day.” Each year, members of Presby’s faculty, staff and administration work together to develop new interactive presentations that help children learn about what mom and dad do while they are in school every day.
The day’s activities included presentations on nutrition and infection control, CPR demonstrations, and emergency care procedures.
A few lucky visitors were even suited up in PPMC’s haz-mat suits, and were invited to sit in an ambulance.
The children of Presby employees had a great time learning about health care as a career choice and how a hospital works to prevent illness and improve overall health.
Many thanks to Lauren Fagan, BSN, CCU nurse manager, for leading this year’s efforts, and all the other volunteers who helped make “Take Your Kids to Work Day” a rousing success.
