Lab’s Bill Hunt Featured in TJC’s Lab Focus

Bill-HuntBill Hunt, MBA, MLS (ASCP) CM, administrative Laboratory director, was featured on the front page of a recent The Joint Commission’s Lab newsletter Lab Focus. Bill was interviewed for the article “PTAC gives laboratories a voice in crafting new requirements.”

Bill is vice chair of the Professional and Technical Advisory Committee (PTAC) where he represents the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science. In the article Bill explains what the PTAC – an advisory group representing multiple branches of laboratory field and government agencies – does, and how it supports and empowers lab professionals. He discusses how laboratory medicine will change in the coming era of health care reform and what lab professionals can do to prepare for the changes.
