Use of Medicinal Plants Both Past and Present - PAH Featured on “Friday Arts”

IMG-flow-to-farmWHYY’s monthly arts program “Friday Arts” aired last weekend featuring PAH’s current exhibit “Flowers to Pharmacy,” in its “Art of Food” section.

 The exhibit was highlighted for its botancial medicial cures practiced n the 19th centruy, a collection of elaborately illustrated, and well-preserved, illustrated reference books culled from the hospital archives. Featured throughout the segment is Stacey Peeples, PAH curator and lead archivist, PAH Executive Chef, Salvatore DiPalma, who demonstrated the modern day use of herbs for maximum flavor and health benefits, and herbalist Maia Toll.
