As we wrap up another successful fiscal year, let’s take the opportunity to pause to celebrate all that we have built and accomplished this year. Together, our daily contributions stack up and amount to an impressive amount of growth and accomplishment this year.
Our hospital has a life of its own as a unique community, a small city, with leaders at all levels, constituents and infrastructure. We have planned for growth and improvements, and we banded together over unexpected issues and the occasional emergency. I am proud of the people who plan, develop, build, sustain and enhance all aspects of our Penn Presbyterian world.
We start a new chapter on July 1, 2011, as our hospital continues to evolve into FY2012. For the first time in almost 20 years, we will break ground and add a new building to Penn Presbyterian’s main campus, for outpatient clinics and musculoskeletal care. We will also continue to develop our greatest resource – our employees – to continue to provide outstanding care for our patients and community.
In this exciting time, we will need your contributions, enthusiasm, teamwork and leadership. We must not lose our constant focus on humanity and medical excellence, or our excitement to build on our accomplishments towards another successful year.
Thank you for all that you do. I look forward to seeing what we can achieve together in FY12.
