Oren Friedman, MD, Joins Dept. of Otorhinolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery

Oren-friedman Dr. Friedman joins Penn Medicine as associate professor of Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and as a member of the Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery team as director of Facial Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Friedman, a Philadelphia native, returns to the area from the Mayo Clinic. His clinical practice primarily focuses on facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, particularly cosmetic facial surgery, rehabilitating facial function secondary to facial paralysis, reconstructing skin cancer defects, congenital facial deformities including cleft lip and microtia (ear malformations), and managing patients with traumatic facial injuries. He is also actively involved in humanitarian medical missions throughout a number of different organizations, particularly in the fields of cleft lip and palate, and microtia surgery. Dr. Friedman specializes in surgical cosmetic procedures including facelift, browlift, blepharoplasty and rhinoplasty.

Dr. Friedman received his medical degree and completed his internship in General Surgery and his residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery from Thomas Jefferson University. He completed his fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in the department of Otorhinolaryngology at the Mayo Clinic. He is certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Otolaryngology. 

Dr. Friedman’s office is located at 811 Spruce Street on the Pennsylvania Hospital campus. Welcome, Dr. Friedman.
