The first floor of the Mutch building now houses a clinical trial space – the Clinical and Translational Research Center at Penn Presbyterian that will be operated by Penn's Institute for Translational Medicine and Therapeutics (ITMAT).

In October, ITMAT hosted an open house event, where guests toured the state of the art facility designed for Phase I through IV clinical research studies. It is a versatile research space that can accommodate both outpatient and inpatient visits.

The unit will be staffed by nurses and technicians with extensive experience in academia and industry.

Rader-fitzgerald Daniel Rader, MD, co-director of ITMAT and Garret FitzGerald, MD, director of ITMAT welcomed guests to new CTRC at PPMC open house.
